Dear SYTYCD,

Where did all the female hip hop dancers go? You really couldn’t send even one to the top 20? I know you’re kidding, right?

The best part (arguably) of the show is watching the super threat hip hop dancers school all of the other n00bs in foreign genres, and then show them how shit gets done when it comes to getting down. It’s no fun watching a bunch of non hip hop dancers try to beat each other at it. You only picked one real hip hop dancer, and he was the least stable of them all in other genres during the Vegas rounds, and the other two that are closest to hip hop are a step dancer and a martial arts dance fusion person. And no girls!

Seriously? Kick some of those contemporary/jazz chicks out. You know they all went to triple threat competition schools that pop out those competition hands and poppy jumps, and that there’s no real difference in the technique training between them.

I’m rooting for these boys and the three ballet peeps this season. Do me proud.

You learn something new everyday…

Today I found out that Toni Basil (Oh, Mickey you’re so fine!) was one of Don Campbellock’s original Lockers. And that also Mykelti Williamson (Bubba Gump) was one of their alternates. Cool!
